We wake at sunrise, walk 50 ft from our trucks and watch the sun illuminate the valley as the monuments casts shadows on the desert floor. It was worth it.

The race course was a backcountry epic enduro 30 miles of riding with over 4000ft of decent. Starting at the top of Hardscrabble road and descending all the way back to the town of eagle. Through alpine rough, burly rock gardens, loose roads, steep climbs, flowy aspens and loose sands. Surely you can call this an epic race.
